Dr. Otiji completed her residency in Family Medicine at University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), Baltimore, Maryland in June 2008. She graduated from Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta with doctorate degree in Medicine and masters degree in Public Health in May 2005. Her undergraduate program was completed at University of Maryland, College Park in 2000. Dr. Otiji had her primary and secondary school education in Anambra state, Nigeria before returning to the US in the mid 90s to continue her undergraduate program. Her medical career training included clinical preceptorship at the World Health Organization’s Headquarters in Switzerland, hands-on care of patients with HIV/AIDS in South Africa and Nigeria as well as externship in Kingston, Jamaica and Havana, Cuba. Dr. Otiji’s interests include women’s health, infectious diseases and cosmetic medicine. Dr. Otiji’s practice experience resolves mostly around ambulatory care in Urgent Care setting similar to the model at Omni Medical Center. She brings with her new knowledge, skills and zeal which will surely positively impact the quality of services provided at Omni under her leadership as the Medical Director. With a masters degree in Public Health and ample exposure to diverse healthcare models on the international scene, Dr. Otiji epitomizes the new face of Omni for this new millennium.
