Dr. Mariya Stoynova is a specialist endocrinologist in Sofia with over 10 years of experience. She diagnoses and treats thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, disorders of calcium-phosphorus metabolism, diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, pituitary and adrenal diseases. She is particularly interested in the endocrinopathies during pregnancy. She graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 2013. She acquired her specialty in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases in 2018 after specializing at the University Hospital of Endocrinology "Acad. Ivan Penchev", Sofia. She is a graduated PhD student since 2021. The topic of her dissertation was "Effectiveness of corticosteroid treatment and telegamma therapy in patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy". She is currently part of the team of the Third Clinic of the University Hospital of Endocrinology "Acad. Ivan Penchev" (Clinic of Thyroid and Bone Metabolic Diseases, specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the thyroid gland and calcium-phosphorus metabolism) and an assistant professor at the Department of Endocrinology of the Medical University-Sofia. She is also part of the team of specialists at MC Geya Med. She speaks English.
